The name was derived from the first showroom of the Werkraum Bregenzerwald, which was operated from 2004 to 2013. At that time, the Werkraumdepot in Schwarzenberg (an important precursor of the Zumthor building in Andelsbuch as a place of exhibition and mediation) also showcased purchases from the vorarlberg museum. The current repositioning of the exposition was made possible with funds from the Friends of the Werkraum Bregenzerwald and can be viewed during a guided tour of the vorarlberg museum and the Werkraum Bregenzerwald on request.
